Part 1. INTRODUCTION TO THE ENEMY

It has been said that all wars throughout history are waged by the elite against the ordinary citizen. It may appear that it is one nation against another and that is the sum total of it. But the wars are always started and supported by the elite on both sides and are paid for by the citizenry on both sides (whom have no argument with each other) in lives, health, housing , infrastructure and taxes. Let us not forget the taxes. They pay the armaments and equipment manufacturers for their deadly production that is then totally destroyed and taking with it the wealth accumulated from previous years production. All wasted. Jobs in the Military/Industrial Complex are jobs creating poverty. Fully half of the worlds scientists and 90% of the worlds physicists work directly or indirectly for war, for violence, for destruction. Unbelievable! Think of the problems that could be solved if all this effort were to be redirected.

And then there are the bankers who finance this carnage and destruction. The same people win no matter who “wins” and who “loses” because waging war is profitable. While ever a nation has privately owned banks and privatley owned for profit armaments manufacturers, it will have wars. No question about it.

These same war manufacturers have taken over the government. They have the money and they have a need. They need to orient the economy and the education system towards war (I doubt there’s a university in America that doesn’t get a grant from the Dept of Defence, for instance, and there isn’t a State or Congressional electorate in the United States that doesn’t have a “Defence” industry). For all the details, history and likely future see this article from researcher Brian Bogart
They also need a front to hide behind because the average citizen, though very imperfect morally, is not committed to doing evil as the war manufacturers are and so would reject them if they knew this agenda of destruction; this agenda of violence. Most people are committed to creation though they may not consciously realise it or express it that way.

So this is how the lines are drawn; the overwelming majority committed to creative endeavours and the minority to destructive ones. Another way to describe this is the basically good versus the decidedly evil. Or, the people versus the psychopaths.

The psychopaths cannot profit from destruction if there first isn’t wealth creation. Creation doesn’t need destruction but destruction needs creation. One can exist by itself, the other cannot. Destruction is parasitical and therefore the destroyers, the violent, are parasites. We have seen these parasites deceive with every move they make, lie with every word they utter. They are committed to war with us, to our destruction. If these destroyers worship a god or are acting on behalf of a god, then this god must also be a parasitical god (which is an oxymoron) and dependent on a creative God. They cannot be the same God, or parts of the same God, because God cannot be at war with itself. It cannot have two natures and not be two Gods. And if this is so then only one is sustainable, the other is not. They are far from equal and only one can be God. So if you want to devote yourself to the cause of destruction or violence, then you are also commiting yourself to destruction. You are following a Being (or behaviour, at least) that calls for your destruction, too. How dumb is that? How insane is that? This is the reality of violence.

Part 2. UNDERSTANDING THE ENEMY

In Part 1 I spoke about the enemy being the psychopaths. The term “psychopath” is outmoded in the psychological and psychiatric communities as a diagnostic term and has been replaced with “sociopath”. I don’t use “sociopath” because it doesn’t convey the same meaning both popularly and medically. In my reading of psychiatric literature, sociopathy tends to look at behaviour that is obviously antisocial in that it is a rejection of or a disregard for society’s laws and mores. It tends not to cover those people who shape society’s laws and thinking for their own malevolent interests. “Psychopath”, I think, conveys this generalised malevolence better and so I use it for preference.

Psychopathy is all about power, power over others. Psychopaths make up about five percent of our population and given that they are attracted to power, they end up in our governments and professions such as law, police, medicine, religions, military and media. In short, anywhere there is money, status and power. They have a huge influence in shaping and running our (Western) society. In fact, if psychopaths could design a society, this is pretty much what it would look like! We have a society whereby we all as individuals find ourselves competing with each other in nearly every aspect of our lives. We have a society that is based on hierarchies as the organising principle. Hierarchies are designed to abuse. Hierarchies take power and autonomy away from everyone but the leader. Those at the higher levels are compensated by being given some power over those below but they still lose their autonomy.

It behooves us, then, to understand and identify these malevolent actors. No change of any lasting benefit is going to happen without this knowledge, I believe.

Psychopaths have no conscience or, at least, have irretrievably buried it. They have no feelings of empathy for anyone else on this planet, though they can mimic empathy quite well, but not perfectly. They are incapable of making real friends. They see other people only as resources to be used and they consider it their right to use everyone. All antagonism towards them or non co-operation with them is viewed as unreasonable, even outrageous. They lie and deceive consantly. They see nothing wrong with it for two reasons.
Firstly, they don’t really understand the difference between right and wrong, only what’s right and wrong for them and that is intimately connected to what they want. They are unable to self-reflect. (I read once that “a psychopath doesn’t know who he is. He only knows what he wants”. I think this is very accurate and accords with my regretably extensive personal experience.)
Secondly, they do not understand what “truth” is. That may sound bizarre but it’s true (no pun intended!). “Truth” is about what is real, what exists, what is factual. Given a chance, psychopaths behave as if they were God; that they create reality. When they lie, they are creating an alternate reality, they believe. And all too often, for a while, it may appear that they have, provided they can convince enough people, that is (think 911/War on Terror). But reality, Truth, sooner or later makes itself felt. Insanity is being disconnected from reality. In this sense, psychopaths are insane. They are highly functioning, yet insane.

Part 3. UNDERSTANDING the VICTIMS (that’s you and me)

Our psychopathic leaders and opinion shapers like to blame us for all the damage to the world and for the state that it is in, which is nice given that they are in control and we are not; that the actions that are popularly supported are never included in the managed “two-party” debate that substitutes for choice and voter control. Never-the-less, they are right in one sense. We may be being lied to and we may realise this to varying degrees but we go along with it. Why? This is what I hope to answer, at least in part, in the following essay. Once we understand what the problem is in our society and in ourselves and who is really causing it and why, we are halfway to the solution.

If you have grown up in any “civilised” society, i.e. non-tribal, that I can think of, you will suffer from two related afflictions caused by the preceding generation watering the seed that lies within them and, indeed, within us all. This seed, the desire for power over things we simply are not given power over, principally other people, leads to damaging consequences and psychopathy in some. The two afflictions affecting us all to varying degrees are Learned Obedience and Learned Helplessness. Both lead to a restricted life through a very stunted view of our own autonomy and to a very distorted view of God, if you happen to be spiritually minded.

Let us now consider Learned Helplessness. I think it would be fair to say that most people have considered the fact that they would not survive for long outside our society i.e. “in the wild”. We are fond of describing self sufficient tribal people as “primitive” which is code for “stupid”. Yet, they are masters of their own lives in their physical environment. We, in comparison are helpless, totally helpless and we know it. This is what a specialised society does to you. It makes you dependent on the organisers, the go-betweens, the controllers, the psychopaths that control our food distribution and our energy supplies to mention just two areas. (When this same process is foisted on whole nations it is called Globalism.) How are you feeling? Secure? This is relatively real helplessness. What is more troubling ironically, I believe, is the unreal helplessness; the stuff that doesn’t exist in the real world; the stuff that has been programmed into our brains to make us feel helpless and hopeless over things that are very much under our control, or could be.

Learned Helplessness is far more insidious in its implantation and its outcome than Learned Obedience which is taught through constant application of “Do this or Else” (to quote Silber). Helplessness comes from conditioning that impresses on you that you are powerless over your circumstances; that no matter what you do or decide it will not work or will not be right, whatever that is. The object is for you to give up your autonomy, your freewill and follow whatever you are told as in Learned Obedience. But you are much more likely to do so willingly because you will believe you need help. So, if the prison door is left open, you will stay because you wont believe you will survive “out there”. You become your own jailer. It doesn’t always work, of course. This is what the Israelis are attempting to do to the Palestinians and have been for many years but it is not working as evidenced by the tunnels for smuggling past the prison walls and the skyrockets they are firing over the prison walls. This is what is infuriating the Israelis and this is what I suspect is the meaning of the skyrockets to the Palestinians (at least to those firing them).

But it is very hard to resist the programming when you are young and there is no one to encourage you to resist. How is it done, this programming? It is accomplished often unwittingly by parents who push their children to do things they are clearly not ready to try. The child fails and often, of course. This imprints the failure of their efforts into their mind. Our culture encourages us to “throw them in at the deep end”. The parents, of course, are quite used to doing things they are instructed to do without all the information they need; to do better; to “strive for excellence” whether capable or not; mostly not. They have normalised all this and so see nothing wrong with behaving in like manner to their children. This “swimming in the dark” links fear with learning and accomplishing. We, as children, no longer want to learn or if we do we are constantly battling fear which makes everything that much harder. In Australian Aboriginal culture, the child is free to watch the adult do something for as long as it likes and the child chooses when it will attempt the task for itself, if at all. There is no pressure. The child is respected and granted freedom and autonomy. Certainly in this regard, at least. This culture was sustainable for thousands and thousands of years and was doing fine until interfered with by Western culture which is a relative infant and is looking for all the world as very unsustainable and is far more owrthy of the derisive use of the word “primitive”.

Our culture constantly praises competition. But competition creates one temporary winner and a lot of losers. We are also constantly presented with exceptional athletes and artists as models to emulate. Not much chance of that, speaking for myself! The News is full of stories of disasters or atrocities we can do little about particularly as they never identify the causes. At the end of all this, you may feel like you should apologise for taking up space on earth. Many do.

The next level of Learned Helplessness comes when parents, and subsequently any other “authorities”, act erratically and without explanation (because you are just supposed to obey). With inconsistent behaviour comes confusion for the child. How are you supposed to know what the “right” thing to do is when the “right “ thing is always changing? This is a very common cause of children “acting out”. It is very distressing. Eventually, one way to ease the distress is to simply stop trying to work it out whatever it is and just give up and do what you are told and suffer any consequences. The more erratic and inconsistent the parents’ or caregivers’ behaviour, the worse it is for the child. This is then repeated and reinforced later in life through the behaviour of police, courts, governments and corporations. How often do you hear, “What can I do? It’s just the way it is”!

She can blink, but she don’t think

After Armageddon

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah…

I’m sure the Society of American Sociopaths will be duly impressed. You have conveyed the secret meanings to them. They know you are one of the tribe. Normal people, of course, will be horrified. But that’s the fun of it, no? To horrify the normal people, those saps every one of them, who have such silly expectations, who persist in earnest effort against the pitiless tide of corruption? Aha. It must be so entertaining for you to play the role of American folk hero alongside the American war hero.

Charlie Gibson asks Sarah if she has the experience to be Vice President, and perhaps, heaven forfend, President of the United States.

Palin says she immediately accepted the VP offer from Sen. McCain, despite misgivings Gibson suggested she might have. “I didn’t hesitate,” she said. “I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can’t blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we’re on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can’t blink. So I didn’t blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.”

In true psychopath fashion, Sarah admits to being ‘wired’ in such a way that self-reflection has no role in such important, monumental decisions. Why would she stop for one nanosecond? To consider whether this might be good for her family? To consider whether she deserves to represent the American people in this way? To consider whether she can do this job?

Are you kidding me? This is like the Best Job Offer EVAH!! Why would Sarah Palin hesitate? She is no fool. This will make her rich and famous. Who gives a crap about all that other stuff? This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and thus she didn’t blink, and she didn’t think. That kind of reflective bullshit is for conscientious people, also known as saps. When you have no conscience, you have no problem taking on jobs and responsibilities above your pay grade. As a matter of fact, this is the preferred method for psychopaths to fill the upper echelons of business and government with other psychopaths, greatly facilitatating massive corruption.

The ‘mission’ she speaks of? To ‘reform the country’ and secure ‘victory in the war’? If only Charlie had pushed her to define those platitudes, perhaps she could have given even more secret dog whistles to the religious right.

But wait there’s more!!

Charlie pressed Sarah about whether it was acceptable for the US to violate Pakistan’s sovereignty. He asked the question several times.

PALIN: “In order to stop Islamic extremists, those terrorists who would seek to destroy America and our allies, we must do whatever it takes and we must not blink, Charlie, in making those tough decisions in where we go and even who we target.”

GIBSON: “And let me finish with this. I just, I got lost in a blizzard of words there. Was that a yes? You think we have the right to go across the border, with or without the approval of the Pakistani government, to go after terrorists… ?”

PALIN: “I believe that America has to exercise all options in order to stop the terrorists who are hell bent on destroying America and our allies. We have got to have all options out there on the table.”

Yes, Charlie. YES YES YES. She is ok with murdering Muslims, who hate us for our freedoms, and she does not have to ‘think’ about that either. No conscience required. Tough tough tough. All options on the table. Have to protect our ‘allies.’

But would you look at her? She is so pretty. She is so charming. She’s a mom, and a ‘Christian,’ so we have nothing to worry about.

It should be emphasized that psychopaths are quite often interesting – even exciting! They exude a captivating energy that keeps their listeners on the edge of their seats. Even if some part of the normal person is shocked or repelled by what the psychopath says, they are like the mouse hypnotized by the torturing cat. Even if they have the chance to run away, they don’t. Many Psychopaths “make their living” by using charm, deceit, and manipulation to gain the confidence of their victims. Many of them can be found in white collar professions where they are aided in their evil by the fact that most people expect certain classes of people to be trustworthy because of their social or professional credentials. Lawyers, doctors, teachers, politicians, psychiatrists and psychologists, generally do not have to earn our trust because they have it by virtue of their positions. But the fact is: psychopaths are found in such lofty spheres also!

At the same time, psychopaths are good impostors. They have absolutely no hesitation about forging and brazenly using impressive credentials to adopt professional roles that bring prestige and power. They pick professions in which the requisite skills are easy to fake, the jargon is easy to learn, and the credentials are unlikely to be thoroughly checked. Psychopaths find it extremely easy to pose as financial consultants, ministers, psychological counselors and psychologists. And that’s a scary thought.

Psychopaths make their way by conning people into doing things for them; obtaining money for them, prestige, power, or even standing up for them when others try to expose them. But that is their claim to fame. That’s what they do. And they do it very well. What’s more, the job is very easy because most people are gullible with an unshakable belief in the inherent goodness of man which, I should add, has been programmed into normal people by psychopaths.

Thomas Paine’s Corner

american psycho

By Alison Banville

8/24/08

In the movie, American Pycho, Christian Bale gives us one of the most chilling portraits of a psychopath ever committed to celluloid. Adapted from the controversial novel of the same name by Brett Easton Ellis, the film introduces us to a man who appears to have it all. Handsome stockbroker Patrick Batemen lives in an expensive apartment, drives a fabulous car, wears exquisitely tailored suits and eats at the best restaurants with his classy fiancé. But these rewards are also the source of a constant, gnawing status-anxiety which sees him desperately fixated on maintaining his position in the hierarchy of success. The scene in which he boils with anger when a colleague produces a superior business card is one of the film’s most fascinating and chilling moments and it is this murderous rage which leads to him descending into an orgiastic killing-spree in which various examples of society’s dispossessed are dispatched.

That Ellis chose to place his character in the corporate world is no accident. Both the book and film are a storming piece of satirical excoriation in which Bateman’s violence is used as a metaphor for what the author considers the spiritual impoverishment of the naked materialism he and his equally acquisitive colleagues exemplify. He suggests it is the corporate culture itself which is psychopathic, and in this way Patrick’s own psychopathy is both the symptom and the disease. For he operates within this culture which defines success in purely material terms, and so the need for proof of his own success becomes his raison d’etre, the centre upon which his entire identity depends. All the more sinister is the fact that it becomes an incubus from which he cannot escape as long as he buys into that culture’s values, the result being a highly ironic realization that the more he has, the more insecure he becomes.

The notion of corporate culture as psychopathic is an interesting one, but has it any validity? The makers of the 2003 documentary ‘The Corporation’ certainly think so, their premise being that since companies benefit from their status as ‘corporate persons’ (a legal term denoting rights usually associated with individuals, or ‘natural persons’, such as the right to privacy or freedom of speech) it is relevant to ask – what kind of person are they?

To answer this they make use of the standard psychopathy test developed by leading psychologist Dr. Robert Hare. The traits which, when found together, identify a personality as psychopathic (lack of empathy, pathological lying, lack of guilt or remorse, parasitic lifestyle, manipulativeness, grandiose sense of self, superficial charm) are ticked off as the film progresses, accompanied by various examples of dubious corporate behaviour, including environmental destruction, inhumane working conditions, unethical marketing, media manipulation, patenting of life-forms, neo-liberal re-structuring programmes in exchange for aid, attacking of whistle-blowers and the use of dwindling resources for short-term profit.

All are juxtaposed with the Hare list, the conclusion being that the way a modern day corporation operates exemplifies the overarching characteristic of the psychopath – it has no conscience. Indeed, in the documentary, Milton Friedman, considered by many to be the father of neo-liberal economics, insists that a corporate executive has only one moral imperative – to make as much money for that corporation as he can. Friedman identifies something important here: it is the individuals inside the corporation who must choose to accept this imperative in order to ensure the company’s success in these terms. Are our thriving businesses attracting psychopaths as employees?

Dr. Hare, himself, has explored this question in his book, ‘Snakes in Suits, When Psychopaths Go to Work.’ He and co-author, organizational psychologist Dr.Paul Babiak, believe there is something in the very structure of the modern day corporation which encourages its employees to demonstrate those traits the Hare psychopathy test lists. They describe the ‘organization wars’ of the 1970’s and 80’s, as business moved away from the cumbersome bureaucratic model toward a more stream-lined, effective ‘transitional’ one: ‘egocentricity, callousness, and insensitivity suddenly became acceptable trade-offs in order to get the talent and skills needed to survive in an accelerated, dispassionate business world’ they tell us. One cannot help being reminded of the riveting TV spectacle of The Apprentice in which contenders proudly state there is no one they would not step on or sacrifice in their pursuit of success. The authors then go on to describe how inviting psychopaths find the corporate milieu, explaining that, ‘the temptation for someone with a psychopathic personality to join a fast-paced, competitive, and highly effective ‘transitional’ organization, especially one with few constraints or rules, is too great, and the rewards too significant, to ignore.’ With the result that, ‘psychopaths are more attracted to work for businesses that offer fast-paced, high-risk, high-profit environments.’

It may come as news to some that not all psychopaths are axe-wielding serial killers, that they can be suave, charming businessmen and women, admired and rewarded for the very traits which mark them out as one. But in a time of globalization what are the implications for society if the world’s most powerful organizations value such people? Some would say we need only look around us for the answer. Witness the sweat-shops of India, the disappearing rainforests, the polluted rivers and oceans, and the corporate owned media from which most people construct their view of the world.

The American writer and philosopher Henry Thoreau once declared: ‘It has been said that a corporation has no conscience, but a corporation of conscientious men is a corporation with a conscience’, neatly encapsulating the nature of the relationship between the entity itself and those operating within it. Indeed, they are the cells without which the corporate body would be lifeless; they give it form and agency and they set its moral limits. Friedman is very clear about what those limits should be. And not many are arguing with him.

But in a time of rapidly diminishing resources, environmental devastation, peak oil, food riots and seemingly perpetual war, is it not pertinent to ask if the institutions which control our lives should be run by those whose operating principles can be identified as psychopathic? Can the boundaries of the corporation’s moral universe ever be re-drawn so that human and environmental cost is calculated alongside profit margins?

The corporation has risen to a position of unprecedented influence until it now dictates the quality of life of every human being on the planet; in reality, it decides if many live or die. We are the first generation in history facing the possibility of ecocide, and we will be the last with the power to prevent it. Is it possible to envisage a world in which these things fall within the corporation’s scope of concern?

Is it possible to treat and cure this psychopath?

Not bloody likely….

Twilight of the Psychopaths

by Dr. Kevin Barrett

Twilight of the Psychopaths

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.” – John Lennon, before his murder by CIA mind-control subject Mark David Chapman

When Gandhi was asked his opinion of Western civilization he said it would be a good idea. But that oft-cited quote, is misleading, assuming as it does that civilization is an unmitigated blessing.

Civilized people, we are told, live peacefully and cooperatively with their fellows, sharing the necessary labour in order to obtain the leisure to develop arts and sciences. And while that would be a good idea, it is not a good description of what has been going on in the so-called advanced cultures during the past 8,000 years.

Civilization, as we know it, is largely the creation of psychopaths. All civilizations, our own included, have been based on slavery and “warfare.” Incidentally, the latter term is a euphemism for mass murder.

The prevailing recipe for civilization is simple:

1) Use lies and brainwashing to create an army of controlled, systematic mass murderers;

2) Use that army to enslave large numbers of people (i.e. seize control of their labour power and its fruits);

3) Use that slave labour power to improve the brainwashing process (by using the economic surplus to employ scribes, priests, and PR men). Then go back to step one and repeat the process.

Psychopaths have played a disproportionate role in the development of civilization, because they are hard-wired to lie, kill, injure, and generally inflict great suffering on other humans without feeling any remorse. The inventor of civilization — the first tribal chieftain who successfully brainwashed an army of controlled mass murderers—was almost certainly a genetic psychopath. Since that momentous discovery, psychopaths have enjoyed a significant advantage over non-psychopaths in the struggle for power in civilizational hierarchies — especially military hierarchies.

Political Satire

Military institutions are tailor-made for psychopathic killers. The 5% or so of human males who feel no remorse about killing their fellow human beings make the best soldiers. And the 95% who are extremely reluctant to kill make terrible soldiers — unless they are brainwashed with highly sophisticated modern techniques that turn them (temporarily it is hoped) into functional psychopaths.

In On Killing, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman has re-written military history, to highlight what other histories hide: The fact that military science is less about strategy and technology, than about overcoming the instinctive human reluctance to kill members of our own species. The true “Revolution in Military Affairs” was not Donald Rumsfeld’s move to high-tech in 2001, but Brigadier Gen. S.L.A. Marshall’s discovery in the 1940s that only 15-20% of World War II soldiers along the line of fire would use their weapons: “Those (80-85%) who did not fire did not run or hide (in many cases they were willing to risk great danger to rescue comrades, get ammunition, or run messages), but they simply would not fire their weapons at the enemy, even when faced with repeated waves of banzai charges” (Grossman, p. 4).

Marshall’s discovery and subsequent research, proved that in all previous wars, a tiny minority of soldiers — the 5% who are natural-born psychopaths, and perhaps a few temporarily-insane imitators—did almost all the killing. Normal men just went through the motions and, if at all possible, refused to take the life of an enemy soldier, even if that meant giving up their own. The implication: Wars are ritualized mass murders by psychopaths of non-psychopaths. (This cannot be good for humanity’s genetic endowment!)

Marshall’s work, brought a Copernican revolution to military science. In the past, everyone believed that the soldier willing to kill for his country was the (heroic) norm, while one who refused to fight was a (cowardly) aberration. The truth, as it turned out, was that the normative soldier hailed from the psychopathic five percent. The sane majority, would rather die than fight.

Political Satire

The implication, too frightening for even the likes of Marshall and Grossman to fully digest, was that the norms for soldiers’ behaviour in battle had been set by psychopaths. That meant that psychopaths were in control of the military as an institution. Worse, it meant that psychopaths were in control of society’s perception of military affairs. Evidently, psychopaths exercised an enormous amount of power in seemingly sane, normal society.

How could that be? In Political Ponerology, Andrzej Lobaczewski explains that clinical psychopaths enjoy advantages even in non-violent competitions to climb the ranks of social hierarchies. Because they can lie without remorse (and without the telltale physiological stress that is measured by lie detector tests) psychopaths can always say whatever is necessary to get what they want. In court, for example, psychopaths can tell extreme bald-faced lies in a plausible manner, while their sane opponents are handicapped by an emotional predisposition to remain within hailing distance of the truth. Too often, the judge or jury imagines that the truth must be somewhere in the middle, and then issues decisions that benefit the psychopath. As with judges and juries, so too with those charged with decisions concerning who to promote and who not to promote in corporate, military and governmental hierarchies. The result is that all hierarchies inevitably become top-heavy with psychopaths.

So-called conspiracy theorists, some of whom deserve the pejorative connotation of that much-abused term, often imagine that secret societies of Jews, Jesuits, bankers, communists, Bilderbergers, Muslim extremists, papists, and so on, are secretly controlling history, doing dastardly deeds, and/or threatening to take over the world. As a leading “conspiracy theorist” according to Wikipedia, I feel eminently qualified to offer an alternative conspiracy theory which, like the alternative conspiracy theory of 9/11, is both simpler and more accurate than the prevailing wisdom: The only conspiracy that matters is the conspiracy of the psychopaths against the rest of us.

Political Satire

Behind the apparent insanity of contemporary history, is the actual insanity of psychopaths fighting to preserve their disproportionate power. And as that power grows ever-more-threatened, the psychopaths grow ever-more-desperate. We are witnessing the apotheosis of the overworld—the criminal syndicate or overlapping set of syndicates that lurks above ordinary society and law just as the underworld lurks below it. In 9/11 and the 9/11 wars, we are seeing the final desperate power-grab or “endgame” (Alex Jones) of brutal, cunning gangs of CIA drug-runners and President-killers; money-laundering international bankers and their hit-men, economic and otherwise; corrupt military contractors and gung-ho generals; corporate predators and their political enablers; brainwashers and mind-rapists euphemistically known as psy-ops experts and PR specialists—in short, the whole sick crew of certifiable psychopaths running our so-called civilization. And they are running scared. It was their terror of losing control that they projected onto the rest of us by blowing up the Twin Towers and inciting temporary psychopathic terror-rage in the American public.

Why does the pathocracy fear it is losing control? Because it is threatened by the spread of knowledge. The greatest fear of any psychopath is of being found out. As George H. W. Bush said to journalist Sarah McClendon, December 1992, “If the people knew what we had done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us.” Given that Bush is reported to have participated in parties where child prostitutes were sodomized and otherwise abused, among his many other crimes, his statement to McClendon should be taken seriously.

Psychopaths go through life knowing that they are completely different from other people. They quickly learn to hide their lack of empathy, while carefully studying others’ emotions so as to mimic normalcy while cold-bloodedly manipulating the normals.

Today, thanks to new information technologies, we are on the brink of unmasking the psychopaths and building a civilization of, by and for the normal human being — a civilization without war, a civilization based on truth, a civilization in which the saintly few rather than the diabolical few would gravitate to positions of power. We already have the knowledge necessary to diagnose psychopathic personalities and keep them out of power. We have the knowledge necessary to dismantle the institutions in which psychopaths especially flourish — militaries, intelligence agencies, large corporations, and secret societies. We simply need to disseminate this knowledge, and the will to use it, as widely as possible.

Above all, we need to inform the public about how psychopaths co-opt and corrupt normal human beings. One way they do this, is by manipulating shame and denial — emotions foreign to psychopaths but common and easily-induced among normals.

Consider how gangs and secret societies (psychopaths’ guilds in disguise) recruit new members. Some criminal gangs and satanist covens demand that candidates for admission commit a murder to “earn their stripes.” Skull and Bones, the Yale-based secret society that supplies the CIA with drug-runners, mind-rapists, child abusers and professional killers, requires neophytes to lie naked in a coffin and masturbate in front of older members while reciting the candidate’s entire sexual history. By forcing the neophyte to engage in ritualized behaviour that would be horrendously shameful in normal society, the psychopaths’ guild destroys the candidate’s normal personality, assuming he had one in the first place, and turns the individual into a co-opted, corrupt, degraded shadow of his former self — a manufactured psychopath or psychopath’s apprentice.

This manipulation of shame has the added benefit of making psychopathic organizations effectively invisible to normal society. Despite easily available media reports, American voters in 2004 simply refused to see that the two major-party presidential candidates had lain naked in a coffin masturbating in front of older Bonesmen in order to gain admission to Skull and Bones and thus become members of the criminal overworld. Likewise, many Americans have long refused to see that hawkish elements of the overworld, operating through the CIA, had obviously been the murderers of JFK, MLK, RFK, JFK Jr., Malcolm X, ChÈ, AllendÈ, Wellstone, Lumumba, Aguilera, Diem, and countless other relatively non-psychopathic leaders. They refuse to see the continuing murders of millions of people around the world in what amounts to an American holocaust. They refuse to see the evidence that the psychopaths’ guilds running America’s most powerful institutions use the most horrific forms of sexualized abuse imaginable to induce multiple-personality-disorder in child victims, then use the resulting mind-control slaves as disposable drug-runners, prostitutes, Manchurian candidates, and even diplomatic envoys. And of course they refuse to see that 9/11 was a transparently obvious inside job, and that their own psychopath-dominated military-intelligence apparatus is behind almost every major terrorist outrage of recent decades.

All of this psychopathic behaviour at the top of the social hierarchy is simply too shameful for ordinary people to see, so they avert their gaze, just as wives of husbands who are sexually abusing their children sometimes refuse to see what is happening in plain view. If deep, deep denial were a river in Egypt, American citizens’ wilful blindness would be more like the Marianas Trench.

But thanks to the power of the internet, people everywhere are waking up. The only obvious non-psychopath among Republican presidential candidates, Ron Paul, also happens to be the only candidate in either party with significant grassroots support.

If “love” is embedded in the Revolution Ron Paul heralds, that is because Dr. Paul — a kindly, soft-spoken physician who has delivered more than 4,000 babies — implicitly recognizes that government is the invention and tool of psychopaths, and therefore must be strictly limited in scope and subjected to a rigorous system of checks and balances, lest the psychopath’s tools, fear and hatred, replace love as the glue that binds society together.

The decline in militarism since World War II in advanced countries, the spread of literacy and communications technology, and the people’s growing demands for a better life, together represent a gathering force that terrifies the pathocracy, (those alternately competing-then-cooperating gangs of psychopaths who have ruled through lies, fear and intimidation since the dawn of so-called civilization).

Since nuclear weapons have made war obsolete, the pathocracy is terrified that its favourite social control mechanism — ritualized mass slaughter — is increasingly unavailable. And if war was the great human tragedy, the pathocrats’ pathetic attempt at a war-substitute — the transparently phoney “war on terror” — is repeating it as sheerest farce.

Truly, we are witnessing the twilight of the psychopaths. Whether in their death throes they succeed in pulling down the curtain of eternal night on all of us, or whether we resist them and survive to see the dawn of a civilization worthy of the name, is the great decision in which all of us others, however humbly, are now participating.

The Seeing In Expectation
art: The Seeing in Expectation by Anne Worbes

It’s madness. It’s like the kind of incipient madness or creeping insanity that appears shortly after your father or your boy or girlfriend; or one of your children begins to drink too much, too often, or gets into the wrong drugs, or develops some chemical imbalance for whatever the reasons are.

I liken it to standing on the lip of a gigantic toilet bowl and watching it flush. There are stairs running down to where the water whirlpools and as you descend, at each level, you see things you never saw at the other levels. You also find that experiences that happened now and then begin to happen all the time and that new experiences that never happened before appear and they… they also become commonplace as you descend. You never see at what moment you were surrounded by a howling madness. Is it the rushing water inside the toilet? Is it the rushing noises inside your head?

It may be that occasionally you awaken for a moment or two and in a temporary clarity you stand, if you can still stand, stunned at the horror of what you see and smell. Within the stench of the dung and its marinade you sense deeper horrors; things dead and worse than dead. There is the palpable odor of sulfur; brimstone as they used to call it. Brimming… Creeping… down in the water- you’re that close now- you can see that it’s not water anymore. There’s a deepening mist and uncanny shapes are dancing there. It’s nothing you’ve ever seen before. Sooner or later this water that isn’t water takes you. Perhaps you will come to dance in this mist or maybe you have much further to go yet. I do not know if there is an end to such a passage. I don’t want to find out.

This is what I think of when I encounter something like this. This is what comes to mind when I look at the rift that has opened in the balance of power in the former United States of America. This is what I am reminded of when events like this are commonplace, unpunished and generally ignored.

What new world is this? Where did this world come from? Through the passage of time and by imperceptible degrees this world has replaced the world we knew. That world has gone. What waits further on down the remaining stairs?

How is it possible in a place like America that someone like Nancy Pelosi can be in a position to demonstrate to an obtuse and indifferent population that hypocrisy and sanctimonious preening are now the trademarks of fair and able dealing? Is this the new choreography of our times? What is the source of this crawling on one’s belly before the tribunal of a shitty little country far away? What commands this aging Barbie Doll to drag herself in some strange estrus backwards with her hindquarters in the air? Is this the new face of the nation? Is that my lunch on the carpet? Was it not in my stomach only a short while ago? Where am I? The howling maelstrom below me has drowned out my thoughts so that I can no longer comprehend them.

How have I come to such a pass that when I hear this news that I leap to my feet punching my fist in the air and crying, “Oh, that’s great! That’s fantastic!”? I did too. I felt a surge of exultation when I read this and my heart cried out for more. Here is evidence of that mysterious power that abides in the hidden chambers of the human soul. Here is a blow against the empire.

When I hear the demon spawn of one of the empire’s chief agents of darkness call out for the assassination of a 9/11 truthseeker, when I hear him offer to pay for the bullets and when I see no mention of it in the captive media of a shitty little country far away, I realize that nearly anything can happen now and that massive events are gathering for their moment on the stage while the pressing crowd of sleepwalkers mill about among each other like the dancers at The Overlook Hotel.

I look at the rains in Iowa; the tornadoes, the punishing heat in the East, the tremors in the Earth all round the benighted globe and I wonder if there is not some real truth to the prophecies and portents. The world has gone mad. The madness has been whipped into a Starbucks froth by psychopathic kitchen workers. The froth exudes a heated mist that is like the mist that rises from the raging toilet waters. It creeps into the streets and merges with the air. The people breathe it in and begin to tear at their bodies and the bodies of others. Something tells them there is something hidden inside of them. Something tells them there is something hidden in the bodies of the others and that once finding it there will be peace. There will be an end to appetite. Something tells them that the mist will dissolve once they have found the secret center of the world; once they have torn it from their ribcage or the ribcages of their fellows. They will hold up this bleeding, glistening thing and the darkness will depart. Cut… fade to black.

If you do not step away from the machine people then… you must go down into the water. If you will not cease to participate then you must share in the certain result. Your blood and the energy which it contains is the fuel that fires the beast. It is your ignorance that orders the course from the bridge. Your souls are the food that feeds the alien creatures who exhort you to continue. They are damned long ago. They want your company in the world beneath the waters that are not water.

The machine cannot continue unless you continue. You are the power that turns the wheel. Step away from the wheel. As one more slithering entity calls out for the murder of a truthseeker you must now call out for justice. We are in dire need of a new Nuremberg. Those who have killed without conscience must be called into the dock. Justice must be done for the dead and dishonored. The evidence is vast and convincing; the perpetrators known and identified.

Can you hear the rushing of the waters? Can you see the events near and far that tell you the water, which is not water, is uncomfortably close? Can you feel the wind that drives the specters in the mist? Will you go or will you step away from the wheel?

There were no Muslims involved in 9/11. 9/11 was executed by agents of a shitty little country far away. It was executed by agents of your own country. It was executed with the assistance of agents in London and other countries across the world. The entire concept of terror was created and manipulated by those who seized the reins of power by unlawful means. It was accomplished by those whose sworn duty is to protect you. It is they who created this danger out of nothing to rob you of both your humanity and your freedom. It is they who softly and sonorously implore you to gather beneath the umbrella of their outstretched arm so that you might be safe from a danger that has no substance but what they have manufactured. They are the danger. There is no other.

You stand at the crossroads of decision. You stand at the point of an opportunity that will not come again for a long, long time. You must decide if you will believe a lie that presents itself before you in the trappings of power or whether you will find the power within yourselves.

Break free from the prison of your ignorance. Awaken from your sleep. Do as those Afghans did. Even the temporary passage of death is far, far preferable to the chains of the merciless psychopaths whose intention is your enduring enslavement to a lie grown strong from the vital nutrition of your fear. I can think of nothing more to say.

I Don’t Love You Anymore
